Nada Yoga and Mantra are ancient tools using sound
vibrations to activate positive transformations in the
practitioner as well as listener. The word "mantra" comes
from two sanskrit syllables-
-man meaning "to think", and tra
or
trai, meaning "to protect" or "to free from bondage". The
wisdom keepers of past and present recognize mantra as a
tool for protecting the mind from thoughts that are running
rampant or debasing our spirit. Mantra is a form of Nada
Yoga, and in all yogic disciplines, the practice of yoga will
lead to meditative states that calm the mind, relax the body,
and create unity of body-mind and spirit.

This workshop provides an overview of sound and
vibrational medicine and introduces the core
essence and basic applications for using mantra
for healing. Through the practice of Mantra in the
spirit of Nada Yoga we manifest a vibrational
currency that releases positive overtones within
the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual
bodies.

Mantras resonate with ancient lineages of
devotion and sincere practice will activate and
positively influence brain wave activity, alter brain
chemistry and create a ripple effect throughout
the body to the organs, tissues, and cells. Most
powerfully it will awaken and strengthen mystical
connections to the upper light bodies.
Through repetition (or chanting) of mantra, there is an increase in
the "feel good" endorphins and enzymes that bring a relaxation
response to the entire central nervous system (CNS). Nada Yoga
will also synchronize the hemispheres of the brain and shift
breathing & heart rhythms, support physical body rejuvenation,
and enhance immunity. In the subtle energy bodies it will detox
the aura and align the chakras, meridians, and nadis.

Sound will also bring us to silence and in that silence the mind
becomes calm and quiet. This inner peace is self-care at it's
finest! It also allows us to be "empty" and ready to assist our
clients.

Mantra and chanting is one of the ancient spiritual traditions that
is now being recognized in the healing arts. This workshop
demonstrates several ways that mantra healing can be integrated
into your current therapy practices as well as used for self-care.
