Ethics Ethical Considerations for Healthy Therapeutic Relationships |
NCBTMB Approved C.E. Provider meets N.C. 3 CE Ethics requirement |
There are many choices for individuals when it comes to taking care of ourselves, and many clients are asking big questions, seeking counsel for alternative routes in self-care. As massage therapists & healing arts professionals, we have a wonderful opportunity to serve our communities with vital information and support for holistic health & healing. This class will cover standard ethical considerations while exploring and delving deeper into new issues that may be surfacing in our practices. Includes class discussions providing everyone an opportunity to actively participate and express views, questions, and considerations as a way of deepening and expressing our own personal and professional standard of ethics and integrity. Topics may include, but not limited to: what constitutes a healing therapeutic relationship, the therapeutic importance of boundaries for client and therapist safety, transference and counter-transference issues, confidentiality, how we may define and create our scope of practice, the value of therapist self-assessment and self-care, along with other common dilemmas and emotional issues that surface in each of our practices and how to resolve them. This 3 CE hour ethics workshop includes 1 hour of Standard V roles and boundaries and fulfills the requirements for North Carolina LMBT license renewal and NCBTMB membership renewal. |
